OOM: Business taken care of
He's well used to sitting at home and waiting for news on how business has gone. It's been that way for a long time. This is different though, because this is Random out there and getting his hands dirty and while he knows that the man is good, it's still a worry.
So he's sitting at the kitchen table with a bottle of Scotch and impatient fingers tapping on the tabletop. He knows Mal did her bit and is fine. But what of Random?
no subject
He tugs him out of the shower and reaches for a towel to wrap around him.
"Will you take me riding?"
no subject
Lucky they have advantages then. He has no qualms about cheating.
'It's about an hour away. Nice. Still on the coast so there are some good views of the sea, and runs inland for acres. Not huge, but big enough.'
He'd been contemplating giving it to Random as an anniversary/birthday present. But it's going to be one of many fronts for the drug business, so it wouldn't really be the most appropriate gift. Besides, Random seems to like the city and its clubs. He'll have to think of something else.
no subject
He likes horses, though. He thinks they're powerful. Great. He also recalls vaguely that when playing with Jung, Ramon's thoughts had been that horses were his favourite animals.
"We'll ride up and down it together, and then have sex on the beach, then ride up and down it again just for fun."
no subject
Though he grins because is he complaining? Hell no.
'You are right though, it should be a good cover. A man could even make a good living out of a legitimate business with it.'
Though he's not going to. He's not like that.
no subject
But that'd be so, so boring."
Ramon concentrates on towelling them off for a moment, then draws him towards the bedroom.
"Tomorrow will you take me and Martin to the beach again? It'd be nice to have another day in the sun."
no subject
From murder to a day at the beach with his son. Random in a nutshell, really.
'I can drink wine with diamonds in it now. You're right though. Boring as hell.'
He sinks into bed comfortably and holds out a hand to Random.
'Come and sleep. Or try, at least.'
He knows what adrenaline can be like after a fight.
no subject
He crawls in after him, and leans back against the pillows with a happy sigh.
"Roll over? I want to work at the muscles in your shoulders for a bit. Can't be nice, having them cuffed like that, squirming like you were. Tell me about Texorami, and what the next steps are. Do we get to take over the club I was at?"
no subject
'You're good to me. And...maybe. The point wasn't to buy them out though. It was just to break up a few big distribution venues and take out some big players, so everything's confused. While they're trying to sort themselves out, I'll step in with my stuff. By the time they've got everything stable again, I'll be too secure to be got rid of.'
And because it's only fair to warn him...
'Whoever fills in for the dead guys will try to kill me, once they know who did it. Just so you know.'
no subject
It's true. He's alive, isn't he?
Random swings a leg across to straddle Ramon's back, and then resting comfortably reaches to work at the muscles that might be complaining.
"Where're you getting the actual drugs? Earth? Or are you working with producers on Texorami?"
no subject
Either one of them ending up dead? So not a good thing.
'On Texorami, mostly. For the time being anyway. I've been trying to work out ways of using my own stuff grown on Earth and distributing it on Texorami, but I'll have to find a way to get it through Portugal without drawing attention if I do that. So, I don't know. I'll think on it a bit.'
no subject
He shrugs, and presses harder, working at the base of Ramon's neck.
"Be simple. Pack it up for me, and I'll have anything you need over there in a few hours."
no subject
He rests his chin on folded arms, enjoying the working at stiff shoulders.
'It'd work. Can you drive a truck? One of the big ones, I mean? If I could get one of those filled then you wouldn't have to do it very often.'
He toys at a thread on the pillow.
'Don't want you to feel like a mule for me though, you know?'
no subject
He leans down to kiss the back of Ramon's neck, with a smile, as his thumbs rub small circles on his shoulder blades.
"...you'll be driving it, as working magic and working with hand eye coordination at the same time sucks in a big way and I tend to run off the road when I try."
no subject
He grins and wriggles his shoulders in a silent response to Random's touch.
'Well. I've only driven a HGV once, and that was for a bet when I was really drunk. So I think I'll stick to smaller ones and just do it a bit more often.'
It'll be bloody useful though, if awkward to organise to begin with. Once he finds a way, it'll save a hell of a lot of difficulties on Texorami.
'Thanks though. That'll be good.'
no subject
His fingers dig in a touch deeper, working at the muscles kissing him again.
"But first, our aeroplane. I want it in Haven. We've been putting off bringing it for far too long. I'm going to do that before I get the drugs over."
no subject
'It's yours, your Christmas present. And sure, you can do what you like with it. It'd be nice to have it on Haven, then we can see a bit of the place.'
He is so curious about what else is there.
no subject
He laughs, and rests his head on Ramon's back for a moment, before going back to work, rubbing and caressing.
"Everything I have is, you know."
no subject
'Same for me. All yours.'
He's worked his whole life for his money and business and everything it gives him. He should have more qualms about letting Random loose with it all, he thinks idly. But he doesn't feel any at all. Everything's theirs now.
'You've got very talented hands baby, if I haven't told you before. This feels good.'
no subject
They skitter teasingly down his spine, and set to work at the muscles of his lower back too, just to make him feel nice.
"Afraid I don't have too much to give you. Most of my legacy's blood."
no subject
He can live with being best at blowjobs. And Random is fantastic with his hands.
'Mmmmm. s'nice.'
He turns his head to the side though, so he can kinda-sorts look up over his shoulder and see Random.
'I have everything I need, so don't worry about that. What do you mean by blood?'
no subject
He keeps working, soft, warm, biting his bottom lip in concentration.
"Most of mine's gone, at the moment, not that I care. The thing that defines me, makes me stand out, makes me special and what I am, is my blood. Amberite."
no subject
Shiny blond hair and strong and sarcastic and thin and small and everything...
then turns back to rest flat again.
'It's not just your blood that makes you special. You'd stand out even if you were just human.'
He truly believes it. There's nothing average about Random.
no subject
But keeps working, leaning upwards, working higher up his back.
"I still can't really share it with you, you know? And you wouldn't want me to. There's nothing good to come of my family, for you. Nothing but sorrow."
no subject
'I know you can't give me what you are. That's obvious. What do you mean though? Nothing good for me? You mean that the rest of your family are going to hate me?'
There's a quiet snort that shows what he feels about that.
no subject
Random's family is inescapable.
"Make me go off to Arden for combat, call me in for diplomatic things occasionally, hit me when they find me. You know how it goes, you've been here long enough. You've got the worst inlaws ever."
