OOM: Beach. Baby. Bianca....yeah

Ramon's more than happy to disappear while Arithon and Random do their thing with magic and souls. He's a little less comfortable with having to entertain a kid while they do so.

Hmmm. Beach. There's a lot of sand. He has no blanket to put the kid on and has the vague notion that putting him down without one would be Frowned Upon. Also, how does one put sunscreen on a baby that's wearing clothes anyway.

Ramon does the sensible thing. He stands and...flails waits for a solution to present itself.

Bianca just taps her fingers on her crossed arms. And if she's being ignored, then her starting to be annoyed expression should be ignored, yes?

"Just likes taking him indeed." She mutters, just loud enough for them all to hear.

There's a glance at her, at some point, as a few more women come over because no one can resist a baby. And especially not one this cute, right? And if he notices that she looks a little annoyed then, what? Not his problem, right?

Safe to say he's in his element, especially when one mentions that she loves his accent. He grins at her and studiously ignores the comment from Bianca although he does roll his eyes humourously at the women to let them know that she shouldn't be paid attention to.

He freezes imperceptibly then slowly turns his head to her with a clear expression of You are so going to die...

The bimbos look a little confused. Ramon assumes that they haven't really got the brain power to process that - yes, he's a total sexist at times - and tries to brush past it.

Oh, come on. He didn't really expect her to let that comment about becoming a hormonal milkbag slide, did he?

She sighs, just enough to be perfectly annoyed and long-suffering. Walking over, she takes Martin out of Ramon's frozen arms.

"Come on, sweetie, lets go for a walk and leave daddy to chat up the pretty girls, okay?" Giving them all a smile, she hitches her bag around and starts walking back up the beach.

Suddenly faced with five girls all giving him enquiring - and somewhat pissed off - looks, Ramon sighs and spreads his hands.

'Sorry about her. She's just mad because her husband is back at their house with another guy right now, if you know what I mean.'

Seeing as they've already been given the impression that he's something of an asshole by wanting to get custody of a kid for revenge, the news that he's with another man's wife possibly detracts from what he's saying.

...in fact, he realises, that he's now given the impression that Bianca is only with him because her husband is gay, which wasn't the intention at all. Time to cut his losses, he thinks, especially as they now seem to be feeling sympathetic to Bianca, and not him.

Damn her.

He makes his excuses and leaves them muttering about how men can be such bastards - which is true, but not what he'd been aiming for at all - and catches up to Bianca. Who gets a sour expression, obviously.

"Si." Martin is currently in serious contemplation of the pearls strung through her golden hair, so Ramon probably can't kill her without hurting the baby.

He sighs in an extremely long suffering way, and lights a cigarette.

'Honestly, five hundred years of this? Just kill me now.'

A flailing hand attempts to grab sunglasses. Anybody's sunglasses.

Well, Bianca's are in reach. She winces, and just takes them off to let the baby play with them before glancing at Ramon.

"Well, maybe if you refrain from saying I'm going to turn into a hormonal milkbag, I'll be nicer." She points out, sweetly.

Ramon looks at her - staying well clear of shades-stealing babies - and replies,

'You're kidding me, right? That was a joke - and anyway, you are going to turn into an hormonal milkbag.'

Some people just never learn.

"And that wasn't a joke?" Bianca asks, gesturing with her head slightly back towards the girls. "Really, you do have no sense of humour."

He'd like to point out that his joke hadn't scuppered a conversation with five women who weren't wearing very many clothes, but thinks that maybe he'd better just let it go before she decides to play any more on him.

'My sense of humour is just fine,' he says, then waves it off and points at Martin. 'Not too heavy for you?'

"Hmm? Oh, no. He's fine."

He lets quiet reign for a moment, idly wondering what Random and Arithon are up to. Then he asks,

'So what's with the girl? How old is she?'

"She looks to be about twelve or so. And...she was tortured. Traumitized. A pretty thing, so I'll leave it to your imagination to say 'how'."

'Oh.'

He sounds unconcerned. Because he is.

'Well, I guess I can see why it's not good for Arithon to be around her then. Why not put her in a hospital here somewhere?'

"Because he wants to get her soul back first."

'Yes, I know that,' he says, a little impatiently. 'I mean afterwards, when you weren't sure what to do with her. Put her in a psych ward or something.'

"We only can if we can prove that she's a danger to herself or us." She says with a sigh.

'Well, is she likely to kill herself? Some kids do, I hear.'

Of course, then it occurs to him that it probably wouldn't be allowed anyway.

'Arithon wouldn't let her go to one I suppose.'

He shrugs and drops it. Not really his problem, unless the girl starts tormenting Arithon further than she is already. If she does, he'll have to do something about it.

Bianca is possibly a bit too worried about her sunglasses to actually attempt to do anything about it, though.

Luckily, babies generally provide something to talk about. Ramon nods at him and says,

'He'll probably attempt to eat those if you're not careful.'
