Ask a character a question, any question, and they HAVE to answer completely honestly. Have to. It's the meme rule. Even if they'd normally lie, they suddenly have been hit with a truth serum of some kind and must tell the truth. Bwaha.

Ramon: Have you looked into, y'know, destroying the deadly virus rather than finding some convoluted means of locking it up?

Ramon: *gives a strange look* Are you fucking nuts? For one thing, my brother promised it to some buyers and if I don't deliver it, my reputation will be shot to hell. For another, I'll make a billion dollars from the sale.

Aside from business reasons - if I didn't make more of the stuff, then how the hell would I get away with selling it in the first place? I need to have leverage to stop the Americans just sending a sniper after me. They have to have a reason to make sure I don't die until they get what they want - and I have to make sure they never get what they want.

So, no.

Ramon, if Fiona asked, would you at least try to be less evil?

Michael, why do you lead Fiona on the way you do?

Ramon: *sighs* No. I did that with Random - except he never outright asked. He just fell apart every time I was put in the cells or hurt people he cared about, so I tried not to do that. But if he outright asked, no. So if Fiona outright asked, no. I'm done with changing my nature to please other people, especially if they're not willing to do it for me.

Michael: I don't mean to. Maybe the kindest thing would be not to work with her any more so that I wouldn't have to rely on her anymore. But seeing as this is an absolute truth meme - I'll admit that some of it is due to my being selfish. I like having her close. I don't want her to go away. It's the sensible thing to encourage but I don't want her to leave. I guess I'm not as cold as I should be.

Ramon: Fair enough. Thing is, complete honesty being the tune of the day, she's already morally grey. Except for the threatening children and beating up on women, there's a part of her that will follow you down that path. Just be aware of that.

Michael: Obvious answer is obvious. You know you're probably doing more damage to your relationship by treating her this way than if you let her go?

Ramon: *shrugs* If she wants to come with me, she's more than welcome. I'm not the one who has a problem with destructive behaviour. And I only threaten children if there's a point to it, I don't tend to do it for fun unlike with adults.

Michael: *sighs too* But if I let her go, I won't see her all the time. I'm not actually stopping her leaving and I wouldn't try to. One one level, if she decided to go then it'd make my life a lot easier. I just can't bring myself to make her.

*snicker* Ramon knows what to say at the right time, when he wants to. This has the added bonus of being the truth.

Ramon: *scowls* When I talk to you Elle, it's you that makes me cranky. You don't respond the way normal people do and it's annoying.

Ramon: Is there anybody or anything you do care about? That would inspire you to acts which would look selfless from the outside?

Ramon: Of course. Random. And to some extent, Arithon. Other than them, not really. There might be an occasional time where the mood strikes me to he;p someone else out but there'd probably have to be something in it for me.
