OOM: Two Years

As all the world knows, Ramon is a terrible cook. Just awful. He burns cereal, that sort of bad.

But! He's also an early morning person and Random is not so it kind of makes sense to him that he should be the one to attempt the anniversary breakfast in bed. Martin wisely adds milk to his own cornflakes and goes to his room to play when asked, while Ramon takes up a tray of...foodstuffs. Its the most that can be said for them really, though in another lifetime, they may have been pancakes and toast.

Oh well. At least the coffee's good.

"Hehjgaaaaah," says Random, hiding his face further in the pillows because something smells like it's on fire.

He killed the last burglar. It's Ramon's turn to deal with it.

No no no. He put the fire out. He is smrt!

Said tray is deposited on Random's side of the bed, then he crawls over him to get back to his side - only he stops when he's halfway there to kiss Random on the neck.

'Hey. Wake up.'

"Mmmmmnooooo."

Turning his head to one side, so he can crack an eye open and look blearily up at Ramon.

'Morning, baby.'

Ramon grins and kisses him again, on the visible half of his lips.

'Happy aniversary. I made breakfast.'

He sounds proud of himself! Random, of course, should reserve enthusiasm until he sees what it looks like.

"Oh jesus."

He curls up a little more, with a mock-terrified sound.

"My knife's in the top of the closet, if you didn't manage to kill it already."

Well! That's not very nice. He is about to open his mouth to object, then glances over at the foodstuffs in question.

To be fair, they do look a little less than appetising.

'...I'm good at coffee?' he ventures hopefully, after a pause.

"I knew there was a reason I loved you."

Random struggles to sit upright, and then leans over to give Ramon's shoulder a good morning kiss, since his mouth feels full of cotton and Ramon's probably had a chance to brush his teeth, or at least had a drink.

Ramon is all clean and showered and doesn't give a damn that Random isn't, hence him shifting to let him sit up, then straddling his legs to give him a proper anniversary morning kiss.

'And I knew you only loved me for my coffee. Bastard.'

There is affectionate flattening of Random#s mad morning hair. Its not likely he'll ever get bored of that.

"'s an anniversary," says a rather dazed Random, after Ramon has kissed him silly (which doesn't take much at this hour, truth be told.)

"Mmmm."

'I know,' he says, with much happy exasperation for Random's morning doziness.

'That's why I made breakfast. Hurry up and...drink the coffee, before it gets cold.'

He's actually not going to ask Random to eat anything, he decides. He's not cruel to his lover! But at least there is evidence he made the effort.

"Mmmcoffee."

A flail in the direction of the coffee, trying to find it and pick it up and drink because he needs it. Mmm.

"Loveyou."

Ramon laughs and rescues a mug from the imminent destruction that comes with a flailing arm, then hands it to Random before taking his own.

'You too. And now you're going to have to tell me how you want to spend our anniversary.'

"In a couple of hours, Martin has a playdate."

Hid head is clearing now.

"I think we should... hmmm."

He doesn't know. Coffee will help, though.

Ramon slumps to the bed, his head on Random's stomach and staring at the ceiling.

'Could go somewhere for the day. Somewhere we like. Or somewhere new.'

Or stay here. Whichever. He really doesn't care as long as they're together and can talk and be close.

"Why don't we go back to Australia?"

He's been thinking about that trip, recently.

"See if that place is still standing. I could bend time for us and we could have as long as we'd need."

It's very unusual, for Random to be willing to spend any time away from Martin. He doesn't even go to the bar more than once every four weeks nowadays. He's not working. He goes out to kill the occasional person, he goes out with Ramon (to kiss, to have sex, to just hang around his office) while Martin's at school. Whenever the little boy cries, there's a shoulder, whenever he needs a hug, there's a hug. Whenever he winces, he gets asked why. Random is a compulsively attentive parent.

But, it's time for a little grown-up time.

'Yeah. That's a good idea.'

He has very happy memories of that holiday. And some unlimited time with Random sounds like heaven. It always does, as its so restricted by work and Martin these days.

'Lets do it.'

"Can you pack for the two of us?"

Ramon knows what Random needs. Of course, he is not invited to do so yet, given that Random has just made himself comfortable half on top of him.

"D'you think?"

'I expect I can manage that,' he murmurs, smiling quietly to himself.

'Not that I'm thinking we need a whole lot of stuff.'

"Sounds good. If you forget all my clothes, baby, I'm just stealing yours."

It's a lazy morning, and Random is well and determined to touch all of Ramon's chest and shoulders with the tips of his fingers. Good day for the exploring of bodies.

'Well, now I'm definitely not packing you any. Or me. You'll just have to stay naked all the time.'

He could so live with that. For the moment, though, he's more than happy to be living with this. Random's touch is always to be enjoyed.

Ramon grins and shifts a bit because this is very nice.

'Fuck. Officially two years. Its mad.'

In case Ramon was wondering. And oh, he's never tried kissing the inside of Ramon's arm, just there, the sensitive skin in the crease, so he does and licks and nibbles a bit.

And now he's done it once, he'll have to be doing it forever because that? Is awesome.

Of course he's doing it again, he has two years of never exploring this place to make up for.

He'd answer Ramon, but is enjoyably busy.
