"No, it won't be."

Funnily enough, Random doesn't promise either.

Of course, that means he notices Ramon didn't, and looks up to crack a rueful, tearful grin at him, before kissing him gently.

"Really."

'I love you.'
You most beautiful, perfect, thing.
Because it says it all. How can you promise such a thing, when you'd do anything for the person in your arms?

The kiss is returned, and he smiles down into his eyes, rubbing down his back.

'Feeling better? Come to bed. It'll be alright. We'll do what we can for him.'

"And I you."
With every part of me.
He shuffles a bit towards the bed, not taking his arms away from around Ramon. Too comforting to be this close.

"We will. Thank you, lover."

And Ramon shuffles with him, glad that he's calmer, happy he was able to relax him a little. He doesn't like him to be upset.

'That's what I'm here for.'

There's a soft kiss, even as their legs bump into the mattress.

'You should sleep. Or do you want to talk? Either's good.'

"To talk. Tell me something nice?"

He swallows hard, and rests his head on Ramon's shoulder as they sink awkwardly to the bed.

'Something nice, OK.'

He manoeuvers into a comfortably propped position, then pulls Random to lean on him.

'We're going to start our trip to Argentina in Buenos Aires. And you and I are going to find a club and dance the Argentinian Tango together.'

Beat.

'As long as you let me lead.'

"You'll have to remind me how. Been a long time."

He rests against him happily, as he always does.

"I like the idea. Please, keep going."

'More? OK.'

He smiles as he rubs a hand over Random's shoulder, tracing the curve of the muscle there.

'We're going to go and do whatever you want. If you're bored of the beach here, we can spend time in the cities - go chopping, see things in the day. Eat good food and then go to clubs in the evenings, find music you like and just party. We can go to Palermo if you like - there's a racetrack with great horse racing if you feel like some betting. And there are national parks all over the place - we can go and see glaicers if you want to, or go up into the mountains. Find a place to stay, just the two of us. Or be around people if you want to be social, I don't mind.'

Because Ramon's own world is fairly narrow at the moment. Other people aren't necessary to make his life any better than it is right now.

'Anything you want. It's a nice country, I think you'll like it.'

"I want to see you in a tuxedo. Lets find a reason to have you in a tuxedo please?"

That's a lovely daydream to have.

"And I want to dance with you nights and nights at a time."

'I'll wear one if you do. I have no doubt that you'll look sexy as hell.'

Ramon takes a moment or two to imagine Random in a tuxedo, which is why he's soon smiling to himself in a leering kind of way.

'And if that's what you want to do, that's what we'll do. It'll be fun.'

"We can dress up together and go to something wonderful."

He grabs Ramon's hand, because even though it's light, he really needs someone right now. Anyone. Especially Ramon.

"When did you learn to tango?"

Ramon tangles their fingers comfortably and tightens his other arm slightly round his back, because if Random wants to hold on, that's fine with him.

'I learnt when I was a boy. My parents used to sometimes so I had the idea. And then there were classes in grade school for some big multi-school exhibition thing. Just basic but I picked it up pretty quickly. And then...I don't know. I just remember it.'

There's a one-shouldered shrug. It's one of those things that he doesn't think about, he just knows it.

"Like swimming."

He curls a little closer and closes his eyes.

"Ever tangoed with a man before?"

He figures it's a pretty fair question.

"Seriously, I mean?"

'No. Before you, I'd never danced with a man properly at all.'

It had never occured to him to do so.

'Why? Have you?'

"Yep. Why not?"

He has no shame.

"I'm glad, then. Glad you managed to get over it. I think our first dance was at Arithon's wedding, wasn't it? The night I" (proposed) "dragged you out with me."

Ramon laughs quietly and reaches for a cigarette to light.

'It wasn't anything I had to 'get over' really. It's just that men don't usually dance together on Earth apart from in gay clubs, and I don't go them. I never really dance often at all now I come to think about it - I think most people do it to get laid. I've never needed help with that so I always just skip straight to the sex.'

Which is rather typical of him. Or was, before Random.

"See, that's where we're different."

He trails his hand lovingly up Ramon's side.

"I live for the dance. The sex? Take it or leave it. It's the dance."

'Sex is a sort of dance. It's just one you can do on your own, even if you're with another person.'

He laughs, though it's not a humourous sound. Possibly because that's a touch more introspective than he's used to being and he hadn't really meant to say it.

'What's so special about it? I mean, I know it's fun at times. But why live for something that has no point?'

"Yes, but it's even better when you dance up to it, too."

He likes it this way, even though the laugh makes it a tad edgy and he turns to try to see his face. To reassure himself.

"I like dancing with other people best. You're so independant, though, it suits you."

Ramon sends him a look that's amused on the surface, but not nearly as flippant as he'd like it to be.

'Other people that aren't me? I'm offended.'

He clearly isn't. Though he is checking that Random didn't actually mean that. And the comment on independance makes him quiet for a while, which he covers by smoking a little. Eventually he just adds,

'I should dance with you more.'

"No, that's not what I mean. Other people other than myself. Dancing in the kitchen is fun as opposed to dancing to you in the club which is better."

He didn't mean that at all.

"But I would like it if you'd come out with me."

'Oh right, I see what you mean.'

Ramon considers the whole thing for a moment, then just leans down to kiss him softly. When he sits up again, he's smiling and relaxed.

'Some things are better with two people. And I'll go out with you whevener you want me to. You know I'll take any excuse to watch you move.'

"Good, because there's nothing better than dancing with you."

He smiles up at him, in some relief.

"You like it when I move with you? I'm a good dancer, I think."

'Nothing better? Nothing at all?'

An eyebrow is raised in teasing enquiry. Because Random can't mean that, surely?

'I like it when you move with me, yeah. On the dancefloor, in bed, walking beside me. Any or all, all the time. It's a nice thing to watch.'

Better than nice.

He just wants to hear him talk. Anything to keep him talking.

"'m glad. I love you. You used to be a bit shy about touching in public."
