“Random, your boyfriend breaks my heart.”

He raises his glass in salute, and grins. Because that was a whole sentence!

From:

"Suck it up, princess."

Random transfers himself cheerfully from his chair to Ramon's, pushing him sideways and making room for himself next to/on top of him, in hopes of cheering Ramon up.

"I'm sure you'll get over it."

From:

It does cheer Ramon up. He immediately slides an arm round his waist with an insufferably smug expression.

'I'll break more than that if you keep pushing it. Or maybe just spike your drink with some more of the happy pills. Or maybe you'd like that.'

From:

Sands rolls his eyes.

“D’you really want to put up with me stoned for any longer than necessary?"

From:

"You're not so bad."

Random shrugs.

"I promise. I used to be a bartender."

From:

'And I've dealt with people more strung out that you.'

He grins and reaches into Random's shirt pocket to pull a pack of smokes free. 'Besides, I didn't tell you I'd give you the same stuff. I do have more interesting substances I could use.'

From:

“Perks of being a drug lord, huh?”

He grins- he has tequila, he has eyes. If there must be a Ramon with them, then so be it.

From:

"Quit it, both of you."

Random elbows Ramon in the ribs, then leans over to kiss him.

"So, you're seeing fine, though? Spell took?"

From:

The kiss is cheerfully returned, and if it grosses Sands out? Tough. He doesn't reply to the comment to quit it, but does squeeze his side slightly in acknowledgement, away from Sands' line of sight.

From:

“A little muzzy,” he rubs the bridge of his nose. “But the pills are probably to blame for that.”

From:

"Good."

He grins, and takes a sip of his tequila, looking rather pleased with the whole thing.

"Very good. Any concrete plans forming for this side of the magic?"

From:

Ramon leans his head on Random's arm lightly, not participating in this bit of the conversation, because he doesn't care about it. As long as Sands is around to repay the favour he's just done for him, he couldn't care less what the man does.

Sands shrugs.

“Unless the door’s appeared, no, nothing.”

From:

"Better chance of having one now."

He shrugs.

"Oh, yes. Now you get the joys of the Observation Window."

From:

'And what a joy it is,' mutters Ramon sarcastically. Not that it isn't impressive, because it is. He just feels like being a bitch.

From:

Intrigued, and ignoring Ramon,

“So what’s so joyous about it?”

From:

"Bar at the End of the Universe means you also get front row seats. The whole thing is exploding. Right there."

He winces, here.

"You'll probably find Dworkin with his nose pressed against the glass."

From:

'Dworkin's a crazy old bastard,' Ramon announces at that point. 'You know that already though. I'd avoid him if I were you, you'll only piss him off.'

Thought that might be fun to see.

From:

The cheer fades somewhat.

“We’ve met,” he says shortly.

From:

"Oh fuck" announces Random, succinctly, before looking Sands up and down.

"Well, you're not dead."

Ramon across at Random, faintly surprised.

'I didn't tell you? Sorry, I meant to. Freaked you out, didn't he Sands?'

Freaked him out too, when they first met. The old guy has that effect.

“I can think of ways I’d rather spend my time.”

"That'd be because he is fucking crazy."

He winces.

"And powerful enough to scare the crap out of any being with a head on its shoulders."
