OOM: Beach. Baby. Bianca....yeah

Ramon's more than happy to disappear while Arithon and Random do their thing with magic and souls. He's a little less comfortable with having to entertain a kid while they do so.

Hmmm. Beach. There's a lot of sand. He has no blanket to put the kid on and has the vague notion that putting him down without one would be Frowned Upon. Also, how does one put sunscreen on a baby that's wearing clothes anyway.

Ramon does the sensible thing. He stands and...flails waits for a solution to present itself.

"Not really, no."

He shrugs and drops it. Not really his problem, unless the girl starts tormenting Arithon further than she is already. If she does, he'll have to do something about it.

Bianca is possibly a bit too worried about her sunglasses to actually attempt to do anything about it, though.

Luckily, babies generally provide something to talk about. Ramon nods at him and says,

'He'll probably attempt to eat those if you're not careful.'

"I know...I have two nephews under the age of two." Although she does shift Martin onto her hip and attempt to take her sunglasses back.

It...doesn't really work.

'Do you?'

He hadn't known that. And he smirks at her attempts to retrieve her shades.

'You obviously haven't met this kid as an adult. If Bar were ever to run out of food, he'd just eat the bar. Never seen anything like it.'

"Yes, I do. It's...a long story with Joshua, but Andrei was adopted." Bianca doesn't entirely get how Joshua is the son of a god, but also part vampire and why he has wings and, really, she's not about to explain that Ramon.

Possibly the mun is still rubbing her head over it, too.

"And, no, no I have not." Pause. "Martin, if you eat my sunglasses, just remember that there is only one witness."

'And I won't back you up,' he says to the kid. Which gets him stared at, predictably.

He glances at Bianca then, and frowns. 'Andrei? Like...Aeyrn's kid?'

He's the only Andrei he's heard of and he knows he was adopted out.

"Yes, actually, I think that's his mother's name."

'You've never met her? She's in the bar. Sort of a friend.'

As much as Ramon ever has friends anyway.

He stops and lights another cigarette and stares up at the house. 'Looks like they're not done yet. You want to get that towel out and put him down? I'll even let you do the honours with the sunscreen.'

"Grazie," Bianca replies, more then a little sarcastically. "Hold him?" She puts Martin back into his pai's arms before pulling out the towl. Sitting down demurely on her cross ankles, she extends her arms for the baby again.

'Prego,' he replies with a cheeky grin, that being one of the few Italian words he knows. It's cut off as he's abruptly handed a small child and has to juggle him and his cigarette and avoid the two coming into contact with each other.

He's handed back with pleasure and Ramon sinks to the sand, shedding the Armani and laying it carefully across his legs.

'How is it women seem to have this in-built knowledge of what to do with kids?'

Always weird to him, that.

Bianca glances up at him, tilting her head slightly.

"What do you mean?"

He nods at the baby. 'Well, you know how to hold him and put sunscreen on presumably - he probably could do with some of that on now, by the way - and don't drop him or anything. Women just seem to know. And care. I don't get it.'

He's actually quite serious about this. It's rather alien to him.

"I mentioned the part about two nephews under the age of two, yes? And sunscreen is fairly easy to put on."

'Sure. But...shit I don't know.'

Doesn't really know how to explain what he's getting at.

'It just seems to come naturally to women, that's all. Random's dealt with a lot of kids but even he was a bit worried about his own. Women just seem to get on with it.'

He raises an eyebrow at her.

'You don't agree?'

"Well...I wouldn't say all women. I just know what to do because Richard and Amadeo told me."

Ramon regards her for a minute, smoking casually. And then he suddenly cackles and lays back, keeping his head off the sand by resting it on a hand.

'Well, at least you'll have some clue when you start having your own.'

"Ah-huh. Although, admittedly Joshua has wings, so I don't have to worry about that...."

And there he was stupid enough to think that all the things in Milliways made sense now.
