She wants to tell him what Guppy told her, but he looks so relaxed here. She's sweaty, and dirty, and tired, and she really doesn't want to fight about this again.
"We should get a picnic basket from the bar, for dinner by candlelight."
Maybe she'll work up the nerve to tell him later. Right now she just wants it to go back to being simple between them. (If it ever was.)
