OOM: Bogotá on fight night

He'd never really thought that Fiona would take him up on his casual offer to come to watch him fight. Not that it seemed like she was full of shit or anything...but she is a woman. They say things easily, they're flippant and don't have the stomach for anything rough.

His opinion of women at the moment is, justifiably he thinks, low. Maria can shoulder a lot of the blame for that.

He always fights on a Friday and this week, he's definitely in the mood to cause some pain. He'd almost forgotten about Fi but when he opens the bathroom door and looks out onto the bar, he figures why not? He can even see her from where he's standing and she doesn't look like she's doing anything important.

'Busy tonight?'

He's never been much good at small talk.

Fiona, for her part, is vibrating in place at the looks she's being given.

When she reaches for him the last time, something in her chest breaks. She's in motion without thought, grabbing the woman's long dark hair, controlling her head and with it her whole body.

"Bitch, you heard him."

She knows Ramon won't interfere, somehow, and even though she doesn't have anything in height on Maria, she has the experience that comes with bringing in bail jumpers three times her size (make them comply, don't leave any marks, dead men are worthless). She grabs that clawed hand aimed at her eyes, and twists it up behind Maria's back, steering her back out the door.

Naked as the day she was born, impervious to the wounded animal shrieking coming from the woman's lips (mother of his children), she walks her down the stairs and into the waiting arms of his security.

To his driver, she growls, "If I hear another soul down here for the rest of the night, I'm coming back down here with the shotgun."

She doesn't give the woman another look, not even the barest hint that she has won. She stalks back up the stairs and slams the door to his room shut hard enough to shake the entire house.
