He's staring again. He's floored again. Amazing how Random can keep finding new ways to do that.

He looks at the ring, shining against sun-browned skin.

'I told you once that I'd marry you in a heartbeat.'

Beat.

'I guess it's even more unecessary now.'

He leans down and kisses him gently. He feels like they've got it all. He has no need or real desire for any kind of ceremony, he thinks they're entirely pointless. But now he has this, and it's more than enough.
