'I suppose you're right,' he concedes. He's equally happy to pretend that this is an important conversation, to avoid the thing they really should talk about. Although, like things that have gone in the past, this is just one of those things that'll have to be put up with. Nothing really to do but let it play out and hope for the best. And isn't all parenting like that?
